Hotel Giraffe, New York City

Sleek. Hip. European. Those are the words that describe Hotel Giraffe. Located on the corner of Park Avenue and 26th street in New York’s Rose Hill neighborhood, Hotel Giraffe is a sight for sore eyes and feet. If you’re looking to kick back and relax after walking, shopping or eating on Park Avenue, then this unique hotel is the answer. From its spacious lobby to it fully updated rooms, Hotel Giraffe is perfect for couples or business travelers who simply want to get away from it all.

Guys, if you would like to send your “significant other” or wife on a Girlfriends Getaway, Hotel Giraffe is safe, clean and beyond comfortable. Since this is a boutique hotel, there are just seven rooms to a floor which make for quiet evenings. Ladies, this is the perfect place to recharge your batteries for a day of Manhattan shopping.

Whether it’s traveling to New York for fun or work, Hotel Giraffe provides the tranquility one might be looking for in Manhattan lodging. Each room blends classic luxury with a modern European motif. Whether you’re in a Deluxe King that boasts French doors that open onto a private balcony or a Superior Double which offers views of the street below, Hotel Giraffe provides a much-needed respite for the weary traveler.

Great food and music Once you’re rested, visit the hotel’s Grande Lobby. On the evening that I visited, I was treated to wine, cheeses and live piano music. Now this is the life: drinking wine while reading the New York Times with relaxing music in the background. This treat is offered to guests Monday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cappuccinos, Café Au Lait, Espresso, cookies and fruits are served here during the day.

In the morning, the Grande Lobby becomes a breakfast gathering spot. An exquisite European Style Buffet served with a selection of bagels, fresh fruits, hard-boiled eggs, cereals and much more.

How “Suite” it is

Business travelers love checking into Hotel Giraffe and I can easily understand why. The property is accessible from Grand Central Station, Penn Station and all New York airports. Hotel Giraffe is ideal for meetings. The Hotel Giraffe’s 1,300 Penthouse Piano Suite can accommodate up to 30 people for business conferences. With a baby grand piano, working fireplace and a wrap-around glass wall, this is the premier place to conduct business. The Penthouse Piano Suite can hold dinners and larger receptions.

Full-scale pampering

The staff at Hotel Giraffe pampers guests upon check-in. Door persons whisk luggage to your room. Concierges have the answers to your questions, whether they are hotel-related or not. If you’re wondering where the name comes from, visit their patio where a giraffe statue gazes over outdoor furniture.

Hotel Giraffe is a 12-story hotel with 72 guestrooms, including 21 suites. The rooms feature a residential style ambiance surrounded by lavish colors and plush fabrics to soothe the guests’ senses.

Each guestroom at Hotel Giraffe features granite countertop bathrooms, high-speed Internet access, a personal safe, premium bedding and nightly turndown service
